Kuku Kizimba Program

Kuku Kizimba Program is an green innovative agribusiness program in partnership with Tanzania Indigenous-Farmers‘ Association (TIPA) a network of local farmers with more than 4,500 local farmers/beneficiaries network. The program focuses on involving women and youth in keeping indegenous poultry in an innovative ways and becoming profitable agribusiness vantures. Our business model is keeping chicken through chicken block farming. Further, the farmers are connected to Kuku Diary App for further virtual extension services. These farms cultivates green feeds and horticulture produce such as vegetables and green grass for feeding the chicken and communities at large. Currently, the model is implemented in by two groups of 10 women and youth at Malolo Agriculture Resources Center under Kinondoni Municipal and Tipa Matogolo at Matogolo Ward, Songea Municipal Council.

Moreover, we have trained 84 women and men and now opening poultry block centers women and youth in Dodoma in collaboration with the Regional Commissioner of Dodoma, in Ifakara in partnership with Ichonde Cooperative we have trained and recruited 87 women and men who have registered for groups, and in Bagamoyo with partnership with Kaole Wazazi Agriculture College whereby two groups of 10 youth are in the program. These centers are also doing reseaches in green feeds inclusion program to fight climate change. This program is partly supported by the Foundation of Civil Societies (FCS). Mentoring, Coaching and Business Advisory Services (BDS) is provided by Business Development Services Tanzania (BDS Tanzania).
